Greetings.I, too, am a descendant of George Linam. His oldest son was John Hodges Linam who moved from Union Co. to Lawrence Co., Ala. in 1823.He reportedly stayed there for about one year, then moved, in 1824, to Lawrence Co., Tn.He married Judith Teague in S.C. and they had 12 children, 6 boys and 6 girls.I am descended from the youngest son, Israel McKendree Linam. He was born in Lawrence Co. about 1832 and married Mary Scott. They had seven children. My g-grandmother was Alice Linam who was the second wife of Thomas Brooks.I am interested in sharing any information you have about the Linam family. Are you a member of the S.A.R.?Do you have primary sources of info on George Linam's Revolutionary War service, or other sources.I understand he served in Brandon's Brigade and was a Lt.Do you know if he was involved in any battles or skirmishes or other military activity.Thank you. Douglas Brooks
