Follow-up to my earlier message regarding Lynams of Sumter County.Because of varying spellings, I will use the spelling that my records show.Morris (Maurice) Linam and his wife Mary (I didn't have her maiden name of Jones) were in South Carolina by 1763.I have a possible birth date for Morris of 1743 (no location). They had eight children (I'm not sure this order is right):Sarah, William M. (1765-1815/6), Ann, Mark (d. 1835), Mary Matilda, Frances, Elisabeth and Charles.
Sarah first married William Cain and had Elisha and James; she then married a man named Loyd (first name unknown) and had Mary; she married a third time, a man named Mattox or, possibly, Malloy (source's handwriting is indistinct). No children that I am aware of from the third marriage.
