Lynam Family Genealogy Forum

My great grandfather, Thomas Joshua Linam lived in Fannon County Texas. My grandfather, Wilson Lee Linam was born there. The story is that the civil war tore the family apart, with some family supporting the North and some the South, so Thomas Joshua went to Texas and never returned home to Tennessee. My father was John Wilson Linam, born in Mena, Arkansas, died in Canon City, Colorado, 1996. I am at my sons. I do not have a computer, but if you are interested in my information, I have the Linam geneology going back to the Revolutionary War, and George Lynam, (Linam) who fought for Cornwallis. He was given a land grant in Union District, South Carolina. I have a copy of his will, as well as military pay records, and names and dates of his children. I retired five years ago, and thought I would get back into the geneology of our family name, but just haven't around to it. Thomas Joshua also had a brother in Texas that joined the Mormon church and moved to Utah. I have a copy of his letter where he "seen the light of the one true religon." If you are interested, you can leave a message with my son, Clay, and we can exchange addresses.
