Ellis Lyman Taken For Treatment ~ Lucas County, Iowa

The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, January 4, 1906

Sheriff Boss returned from Clarinda Sunday night where he had taken ELLIS LYMAN for treatment.

Some time since his wife filed an information charging MR. LYMAN with being insane. A warrant was placed in the hands of the sheriff and he was brought before the commissioners of insanity, who dismissed the charge. They got MR. LYMAN to sign an agreement to stay with his mother. This agreement he broke by going back to his home, whereupon his wife secured another warrant and he was brought before the board the second time, and they thought it best to send him to Clarinda for treatment.
