The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, March 30, 1905

H.L. MAUK is on the sick list this week.

ELVA VAN WINKLE is visiting her brother CHARLEY this week.

BERTHA BAKER, who has been spending her vacation in Chariton with her parents, returned last Friday and has taken up her duties at the store of JAS. ROBINSON & CO. We gladly welcome her back among us as she is one of our best young women.

GROVER JOHNSON is boarding at JOE BURGETT's now days.

MR. and MRS. WILL ARNOLD left last Monday evening for their future home in North Dakota. The best wishes of their many friends follow them.

HOMER LEIGHTER and family have the sympathy of the entire community in their great sorrow and loss of a loving wife and mother.

MRS. JOHN BEVAN entertained a number of her lady friends to a carpet rag sewing Thursday.

T.K. JOHNSON and family expect to leave next Tuesday for Oregon where they will reside. We regret to lose such good citizens from our community.

The Stewart School will begin next Monday with MISS MABEL LYMAN as teacher.
