Roger:
Thanks for the reply. Most of what I have for the earlier Lyman's came from the Lyman Coleman book, The Lyman Family in America.I have been doing research on my husband's line and have not been able to verify anything on my earlier Lyman ancestors.
I have confirmed descent from Jabez' great grandson Johnson (four generations). Also have some info on John's sister Eliza. That is about all.About two years ago I corresponded with three persons descended from Johnson's eldest son, Edwin b. 02 MAR 1827, m. Amanda Jane Downing. If you do not have this info, send me a snail mail address and I'll get it out to you.
I have Calvin Lyman (a cousin to my Johnson) married a Polly Woodworth and that they lived in West Turin, Lewis, NY. Was Polly related to Timothy?
It appears that Abner Mitchell and Esther Johnson had nothing but girls and most married the sons of Ezekiel.I suspect that it how my ancestor came to be named "Johnson".
