My Great great grandfather past down an anscectory book. I now have and am trying to find out recent births and deaths. My grandfather has us traced us back to 1086 the time of William th Conqueror. Apparantly from what I can understand in this bookhe states that Richard is counted as the first generation. Richard came from England in 1631. My granfather got this information from Lyman Geneology by Lyman Coleman.
