Laura M. Lyman, daughter of Asa and Martha Yeagley, was the first wife of Frederick Peter Chase (descended from the Chases who settled Martha's Vineyard). I have no location or dates, but their first child Charles Gardner II was born July 1, 1873 and died in 1943.In 1849 the Chases and the Feltons moved to Defiance County, Ohio. The Chase book I have indicates these Lymans as Laura 1, Asa 2, Asa 2...but have not found two father and son Asa's.Have just begun looking, but there are handful of Asa's, and lots and lots of Lymans on the net!One of my ancestors was Munson Lyman Whitney...I think the Lyman must come from the female side, but have not found it yet.
A Lucinda Lyman appears on gedcom at www.uftree.com/UFT/WebPages/DaveCark/REV4/nindes.htm#LYMAN
