Lyman in LDS Computers - accuracy???
Posted by: Janet Dornhoff Date: June 03, 1999 at 23:45:46

I'm relatively new to genealogy, and have found the LDS Ancestor Files to be a great jumping-off point, but they descend into confusion right about the time of Richard and Sarah. There are several possible lines given, and the ones I printed out differ from the ones I've seen listed here.

Does anybody here know for *certain* which is the correct line of ancestry? I don't mean someone claimed it in a book once so they could make a line back to Charlemagne...I'm talking actual documentation. Has anybody collected records this far back?

It's all very confusing to a newbie, and I'd hate to spend months tracking down the wrong version if you guys have already settled this years ago. Any info you can share?

Thank you!!!
