Dan,

I wouldn't concentrate too much on Caleb's line, he doesn't have a desc. who is in the right time frame. And also there is a Larkin in the Duncan line, way back. So, who knows.

However, there is a William whose mother is Margaret and a father whose name is James. If you are looking for similar names, this is the line for you! William had a Nettie, Columbus, Thomas J., etc. in his line.

Go to WorldConnect and look for William Duncan with mother and father Margaret and James. Gee, that means that he is brother to Mary (Lyles) of Kershaw Co., SC.

Look, Wash was in Richland District which was taken from Kershaw Dist. From there his family moved to Pickens Co., AL, MS, and points beyond. Look for a family history in the Pickens County AL Heritage Book. Says that George Wash. Monroe Lyles was b. in Richland Dist., SC in 1819.

Wash was on the 1810 and 1820 RICHLAND DIST., SC census.

Family histories are considered documentation as well as censuses, tax records, deeds, etc. BTW Big Bill's estate packet names George Washington Lyles as his son.

Martha Chabot knows that Margaret Edmondson m. Thos. Sr. is her ancestor's parents. That's documentation also.

Talk to Martha. You don't seem headed in the right direction.

Julia
