Francis Malinda Lyle was the daughter of David Lyle and Francis Bell.
David R Lyle was the son of Daniel Lyle and Mary Margaret McGuire. He was born on 29 Nov 1818 in , Jefferson, Tennessee. Francis (Fanny) Bell was the daughter of Edmund Bell and Elizabeth Walker. She was born 1817 in , Jefferson, Tennessee. She died 1849.
David and Fanny had four daughters. Francis was the youngest. The others were: Mary Lyle born 1841. She married David Nelson Coile. They were married on 19 Nov 1861 in , Jefferson, Tennessee. Elizabeth Jane Lyle. She was born 1841. She married Thomas Pratt. They were married 1863. She died 1889. Sarah I Lyle. She was born 1845. She died 1861.
After Fanny died all four girls appear to have been fostered out to other families. David remarried Nancy Scribner and fathered several more children.
