A "Will" registered in Troup County, Georgia
I'm looking for information on the following Lyle family:
Matthew Lyle, 11/21/1837:9/9/1838, p. 77 79
A portion of my estate to following named children, born by first wife, decd. To heirs of James Lyle, decd. Dau: Elizabeth Colly, wife of Anderson Colly. Son: Hugh G. Lyle. After my death, my exrs to sell 50 acres, part of Lot 159 in 5th Dist. of Troup Co. to secure payments of above legacies. Remaining estate to wife, Sarah Lyle. After her death, the estate to be equally divide among her bodily offspring. Exrs: Wife, Sarah, sons, Hugh G and William P. Lyle. Wits: John F. Tinor, Richard Burk.
I'm a decendent of Hugh Gerrard (Girrard) Lyle (son listed on this will) and I'm trying to solve the mystery of which Matthew Lyle my family is a decendent of. Also, I would be very greatful to know Matthew's first wife name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. smiles, Cindy
