Greetings Janet,

The William Lyall I am searching is a g-parent (don't remember the number of generations back at the moment). Reports are that he was a “preacher” and was from the “highlands of Scotland”. He was the father of Matilda Jane (or Jennie) 1850-1922. I believe she was born in Brooklyn. Family stories indicate that William had as many as four wives. The only one I know would be the mother of Matilda Jane – Sarah Parish. Two other siblings of Matilda (perhaps step-brothers) were: John Edward and David P. I believe that these were living in New Jersey in 1922 at the time of Matilda’s death. Matilda was married to William Evans. They lived near Gainesville, NY.

Does this give you enough information to establish any possible relationship?
