Hi Michael -
Sorry I don't have the information you are looking for but noted the name Mergen. My gggrandmother's name was Madeline Merger (b abt 1830) but I have also seen it Mergen. Do you have any Schartz in your family collection? Madeline was married to Mathias Schartz and they lived in Bissen, Luxembourg. I know it's a longshot but thought I would check in with you to see. Thanks!
