A trip to the USA- Meet 'former' Luxemburgers

Hi,
We are planning a trip to the USA and we shall visit Chicago and then Iowa in order to meet some Veterans that were in touch with my family or with my hometown.
As we heard that many Luxemburgers settled in these areas, we also want to visit their villages and towns.
Could anyone give some hints where to go, names of villages etc etc?
