I am researching emigration from Bertrange (Bartringen) in Luxembourg to the United States. Who has information on the following?
Peter Basting, born 2 September 1840 in Bertrange (Bartringen), Luxembourg, son of Peter Basting and Margaret Hilbert. He died 15 June 1900 in New Trier and is buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in New Trier.
From 1860-1870 he lived in Lauterborn near Echternach. It is believed that the following siblings also emigrated and settled either in Dakota Co. MN or in the Twin Cities (Ramsey & Hennepin counties):
Nicholas Basting
Anna Basting, wife of Peter Schmit.
