I am looking for any information about William Faber, Jr., B.24 Dec.1845 in Luxembourg, D.16 June 1916 in Virgil, Kane County, IL. William, Jr. immigrated to USA in 1866 aboard the ship Hermann. He was married to Katherina Reuland on 18 April 1871 in Virgil, Kane County, IL.
His mother was Katherina, B. 1825 in Luxembourg. Katherina lived in her son William, Jr.'s home in 1900, she is listed as a widow.
I have no other information about Catherina Faber than stated above.
Father: William Faber, Sr. was born in Luxembourg. I have no information about William, Sr. other than stated above.
William Jr. was one of 5 children.
I have no information about William, Jr.'s siblings.
I spent 2 weeks in Luxembourg (Sept.2007) at the National Archives searching for William Faber, Jr. to no avail.
I have not been able to learn where in Luxemboug they lived before coming to the USA.
If you have any information concerning the above, please advise.
