In a brochure published by the music band of Biwer on the occasion of the acquisition of a new banner (22 May 1955) there is an article by Father Alphonse Theisen "Nach Amerika ausgewanderte Einwohner der Pfarrei Biwer" listing the inhabitants of the parish of Biwer who emigrated to America. Among them are # 52 Kirbag John, who emigrated in 1857 # 113 Kirbag Francis, who emigrated in 1866
