There look up the German Gerneral Word List and the Handwriting Guide - German Gothic to help translate some of the words. Another good source of reference is "German to English Genealogical Dictionary" by Ernest Thode. This is how I translated most of the old documents I've picked up in my research. I couldn't read any of it until I got help from those areas.
Your documents should start with the year, day, and month; then the hour/time of day. Then say the official of the civil registry of the community of ____, canton of ___ in the Great Duchy of Luxembourg. Then it says who appeared (usually the father), and maybe lists his occupation, then his age and place of residence. Then there would be a large area of handwriting where they include the name of the mother. After that it gives the childs name. Then there will be a new paragraph listing the witnesses (I could be wrong here), their occupation, age, and place of residence (mine all have 2 witnesses). Most of my documents get fuzzy here, but I think it just basically says they have signed below (underscribed). Then you should see the signatures of the official of the civil registry, the father, and the 2 witnesses.
