Hi Rob
That would be great if you could check for my John SCHWARTZ when it's convenient. What I know about him is that he was born in 1829 and he and his brothers Michael and Bernard had a women's tailoring establishment in Luxemborg. In 1853 John went to Paris for a year and emigrated to the USA in 1854, living in St. Paul, MN for a year and then Hartford, Conn. for two years before moving to Decatur, IL in 1857 where he lived until he died in 1907. He married Margarette SCHWACHTGEN in 1859. She was born in Luxemborg on June 24, 1835 and emigrated to Decatur, IL with her family in 1855. Her father' name was Nicholas SCHWACTGEN.
John's brother Bernard SCHWARTZ also emigrated to the US and lived in Illinois.
