My ggg grandfather Jacob Deckard (Deckert, Decker) and his brothers Peter and Michael are said to have resided somewhere close to Metz,Lorraine and immigrated to New York around 1775 to 1776. I have been unable to locate any records on them in France. Does anyone have any ideas that might help? Thank you.
