Hi Darrin, I haven't been able to write to you for a bit but I wanted to tell you That I have some really good information on the Ehleringers, supplied to me by a Joe Ehleringer. My Great Grandmother who was Marie Ehleringer byorn Oct 8, 1861 who married Heinrich Zeimet born Feb 21, 1882 was the daughter of Nicolas Ehleringer and Susanna Hommel (we had this name spelled wrong all along) This information was taken right out of the Church records in Germany. Susanna Hommel was born Feb 28, 1828 in Hagen Commune of Steinfort, Luxembourg and died Oct 11, 1903 in St Joe, Ia. She was the daughter of Henry Hommel and Marie Koob.
You can find more information from the Luxemburger Gazette from the Iowa Historical Society, or you can email me and I will give you what I have, somehow even though it is huge. I might see if you want to call me to get this information.
