I am trying to piece together my Lutz and Schaffnit side of the family.
Information I have is:
GGG Grandmother Gertrauldt or Gertrude Lutz married Johann Adam Schaffnit, probably in Germany. My GG grandfather was Jacob Schaffnit, b. Jan 1815 in Braunsbach, Germany. Came to the US and setteled in Chambersburg, Pa. Any info appreciated. Another note is the Schaffnit name was changed to Schaffner. Thanks and please e-mail me at Toybiz@aol.com.
