Another of the pioneer German farmers of Wabash county has passed away in the person of Mr. Nicholas Lutz, who died at the family residence on Second street Sunday night at seven o’clock, after a very long illness.

His first wife was Elizabeth Weinbach, and the children of that union are George Lutz, of Miami Valley, Kan., and Phillip Lutz, of Denton, Tex.. His second wife was Margaret Weinbach, Mrs. Mary Bowman, of Hammond Ind., being the survivor of that union. He married for his third wife Elmina Good, and the children from that union are Mrs. Fannie Hilbert, Mrs. Allen Groff, Mrs. J. W. Groff and William, James. Adam and Victoria Lutz all of this county.
Mr. Lutz was a quite unassuming gentleman and a good citizen, who enjoyed the esteem of his fellow men. He was a member of the Evangelical church, Politically he was a conservative Republican.
