My family tree has alwaysb een a mystery to me. My grandmother changed her first and last name and never had any contact with her relatives. Here is what I know.
I am related to John lutz (the writer)who's parents were Jack and Jane Lutz from Brentwood, MI.My grandmothers name was Kats or Katherine (or Cats or Catherine?). I'm not sure, as she changed her name to Nancy a long time ago. My grandmother was related to Jane had a sister named Ruth lutz. Although we apparently come from the gundelfinger family line (not sure how)..I read up that someone from the gundelfingers recently died who fled from france in 1937 (my grandmother was born in 1923) from the natzi. My grandmother had always told us she came from France (nut never spoke french) and so it led us to believe it was another one of her lies. Anyway, turns out my grandmother has 10 siblings, although we only know of the two Ruth and Jane who passed away (so it has been told to me)...
Can anyone shed any light on our family history?
