Below is a birth certificate of a child born out of wedlock to an Italian immigrant woman. She has the father listed as a Romano Lutzia, age 40 in 1919 who was a miner in PA. I suspect the woman put an Italian spin on the name of Roman Lutz because her grandson's Y-chromosone (paternal side)test shows German connection, no Italian as stated on the certificate. The son to this father was never legally given a name, but he was called William Joseph (last name to remain private as it was a name by the man who reared him...nothing to do with his genealogy). The boys mother sometimes called her son Emiliano. The secret was kept from the son for 86 years and he died never knowing. I am trying to find out more about the paternal side, so I am searching a Roman Lutz or a William J Lutz born about 1879 and worked for a short time as a miner in PA. He may have lived in Germantown, Cambria County which is about 10 minutes away from Beaverdale, PA where the mother lived with her family. Germantown is just a guess on my part. My e-mail is: Reginacopper@yahoo.com below is the birth certificate. If you have any connection or know anything pertaining to the father, please contact me. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/2Regina/certificateofbirth.jpg Notify Administrator about this message?
