Carolyn, your research of the Johann Michael Lutz family
really struck a note with me. You may already know the following information but I need to point it out to explain my interest in the Lutz history. The information is contained within the book, Pennsylvania German Marriages: Donna Irish", published by the Pennsylvania German Society.

"List of the Heads of Families Belonging to the Congregation of New Goshhoppen, Reformed Members:

(This list of 45 members is in the handriting of Mr. Goetschius and was therefore made sometime between 1736-1739.)"

#22 on the list was Michael Lutz

#27 on the list was Philip Jacob Schellhammer

Philip Jacob Schellhammer was married (second marriage) to
Anna Margaretha Lutz in Germany in 1720. They had a female child while still in Germany---in about 1721 and arrived in Philadelpha in 1723.

Does this Michael Lutz or Anna Margaretha Lutz have any place/meaning in your research? Ginny
