Don, what a nice surprise to read your message.Since my 2005 entry, I haven't learned more about Mary J. Luttrell and her burial place. My brother and I did visit Vernon, Harold, and Oklaunion in spring 2009, visited the Vernon cemetery and made some pictures of headstones. We copied records in the courthouse. In the Harold school, we looked at photographs of students from 1910 or so, and the principal and teachers were kind enough to make copies of two.I'll get them out and see if there are any Luttrells listed as students. Two or three Lains (my dad's family) were shown.I'll let you know if I find any pictures or other documents you might like.I assume you have pictures of the Luttrell headstones from Vernon, but I can send them also; just let me know.Guess we need to keep scratching around. If I ever make it to Midland from Austin, I'll get in touch.
