This Joshua Luttrell, referred to a Joshua-the-elder simply to distinguish him from a younger Joshua Luttrell, was the son of John and Ann Luttrell of Fauquier Co., VA. He was the father of several daughters and three sons. He was between 60 and 70 years old in the 1930 Census. Joshua m. a second time to Hannah Webster in Woodford Co., KY on Apr 20, 1836. After Joshua's death, Hannah m. Richard Luttrell in 1854. This Richard appears to be a nephew of Joshua. Joshua and Hannah had two children, Rodham, b. 1838 and Mary E., b. 1840. After Joshua's death, the children were apprenticed to Robert Watson and wife Priscilla who appears to be a daughter from Joshua's first marriage.

I have no record of exactly where Joshua was buried but it most certainly was along Goose Creek where he owned a 198 acre far.

Larry Luttrell
