I have been seeking information on Thomas Jefferson Luttrell, son of John Luttrell. They both died in Randolph County, ARK. around 1844. My great great great grandfather, James H. Luttrell, was John's brother. This is the information that I have found. Thomas J. Luttrell married Nancy Simpson, 18 APR 1841 in Randolph, Arkansas. In 1850 Nancy Littrole married Robert M. Cloud on
30 DEC 1847, in Greene Co., Missouri. In the 1850 & 1860 census of Greene Co., MO., Robert & Nancy Cloud are listed with several Cloud children including Alexander Luttrell & his sister Minerva Luttrell. Both Alexander and Minerva are listed as Cloud. In the 1870 and 1880 the Clouds are still in Green Co., Mo., but Alex and Minerva are not with them.
In the 1870 census of Denton Co., Texas, Alex Lettvall is married to Mary an they have a daugher Marthey or Matty who is 4 years old. Alex's sister Manerva Lettvall is also living with him. There is also an Orbin Lettvall there, but I believe that Orbin is a Cloud. In the Denton Co., census Orbin is listed as being 16 years old and there is an Orb Cloud listed in the 1860 Greene Co., MO. census who was a son of Robert & Nancy Simpson Luttrell. This Orb was listed as 7 years old when the census was taken in 1860 in Greene Co., Mo. So, I think Orb of 1860 and Orbin of 1870 are the same person.
In 1880 I think that Alex moved to Carroll Co., Arkansas, where he is listed as Ellic Littrell and his wife Mary is listed as Molley. They have children Nonney(Nanney), Adar, Perley and Eddy. I found where an Ada(Adar) Luttrell married John F. Jeffries 29 Dec 1889 in Carroll Co., ARK.
Nannie(Nonney) Luttrell married W. T. Barnett 2 Jan 1882 in Carroll Co., ARK. Pearl(Perley) Littrell married Alvah Goodman 16 Feb 1896 in Carroll Co., ARK.
In the 1900 census Alex who is missed transcribed as B Luttrell is listed in Buchanan Co., Missouri. I have seen the census and it says Alex. He is with his wife Mary and children William G., Edith G. and their daughter and son-in-law Pearl and Alvah Goodman are living with them. I have traced the Goodmans back to Cameron County, Texas where they died. I still need information on Matty/Marthey, Ada Jefferies, Nannie Barnett and Eddy, William G. and Edith Luttrell.
