THE NAME OF “JUNK MAN” WAS GIVEN TO MICHAEL BY HIS FATHER AS HE CAME HOME OFTEN WITH BROKEN LAWN MOWERS, BICYCLES, VACUUM CLEANERS AND OTHER VARIOUS GADGETS THAT HAD BEEN ABANDONED BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. HE SPENT HOURS REPAIRING THEM TO USE OR SELL. MICHAEL ENJOYED WORKING ON CARS AND COULD FIX MOST MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. HE USUALLY KEPT AN OLDER VEHICLE UP AND RUNNING RATHER THAN OPT FOR A NEW ONE. FOR SEVERAL YEARS, MICHAEL PURCHASED AND REPAIRED ARCADE GAMES WHICH HE PLACED IN BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT HIS COMMUNITY. PAC MAN WAS HIS FAVORITE ARCADE GAME.
