I visited Lusk WY about two weeks ago 9/13/00 and found it to have many helpful people. Where I was finally able to find the most information was at the Niobrara County Public Library in Lusk. Someone in Lusk had, back in 1963, done a study of the FRANK S. and LOUISE LUSK FAMILY - the founder of Lusk WY. He was also the founder of Casper and Douglas WY. Frank was born in Buffalo NY April 27, 1857 and died in Missoula,Montana August 6, 1930; buried in Cleveland, Ohio. Had grown up there from a small child. His father's name was James W. Frank's mother's name was Cornelia Stillman Lusk, born in Parkman, Ohio 11/17/1832, died in 1921, I believe in Lusk, buried in Cleveland in the family plot. Grandmother was Sarah Marilla Stillman, born in Aurora, NY, died in Lusk and buried in Cleveland. Frank also had a sister Mary C. Lusk born in 1860 in NY State, died in Evanston, WY 12/29/1915 and buried in Cleveland. Maybe this info will add to some of your Ohio Lusk info.
I am interested in information on James W. Lusk who was Frank's father and who died in NY State in 1863. Am trying to connect to A.O.(Alva Oliver) Lusk who is my great grandfather. He lived a good deal of his life in Nebraska and died here in Filmore Co.
