Lusk Community still exists. It is named for Mr. W.G. LUSK, who operated a coal mine in the area in the 1920s. He built a school for the children of his employees. Lusk Community is loceted about 10 miles South of Pikeville. there are decendants of the LUSK family still living in the area.
