Samuel was a Rev. soldier. He is buried at Mt. Nebo, in Amite Co. His widow Elizabeth received a Revolutionary Widow's pension in l850. I am descended from Lavicia, who married Archibald Buchanan STEELE. Their daughter, Virginia STEELE Roundtree was my grandfather's mother. My father grew up in Amite County, and my last aunt died there only 10 or 12 years ago. Samuel was my earliest ancestor there.
