i found more information on this line! instead of trying to push farther back on mary maloney lusk, i decided to find out why her mom was listed as bridget, then later as delia. at first i thought perhaps they were two women, but now i know they aren't. on the 1900 census she is listed as delia, as well as on catherine's marriage to gaudelet. i found her death record! on it she is listed as bridget, with mrs john lusk as the informant, & at the same address as the 1900 census.
the death record was a wealth of information. bridget's maiden name was riley. her parents were thomas riley, & catherine clark (both of ireland)!!! https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N4MD-CWY
hope you are well.
