Faintly possible I might have some connection here (but very little hard evidence!)
My Gt Gt Grandmother was born Isabella Andrews about 1850 in Londonderry and family memory suggests she was raised by an Aunt - a Mrs Lusk - following her own mother's death. Two of Isabella's children were given the middle name Lusk(John Lusk Johnson DeaneandJane Lusk Deane). We believe Johnson was another family surname, but possibly in the paternal line.
Isabella's father had come from a merchant family in Coleraine to become a successful watch & Clock maker & Jeweller in Londonderry.
There is a John Lusk Andrews of Londonderry whose Will was proved in 1870 listed in the PRONI.The Will executor was a John Lusk of Coleraine.
I am working on an hypothesis that John Lusk Andrews may have been a brother of Isabella and a friend of Joseph Deane who went on to marry Isabella and inherit the Andrews family business.
Is this any help?
Patrick
