Can anyone help me understand what this means:

"Ref: White Marriage Records Bk A 1804-1823, Wilkinson Co. MS P102
"Zacharia Lusk and Henry Lusk bound unto Walter Leak, Gov of the State of Miss. 16 Jan 1822. Zachariah Lusk and Elizabeth Sides to be married".
signed: Zacharia Lusk with X (his mark)
signed: Henry Lusk

Does this mean Zachariah and Henry were perhaps brothers? Why were they bound unto Walter Leak? Were they orphans?

I would appreciate any guidance on this!

Denise
