Yes. Puzzles indeed. As far as I've recorded, the James Lusk who is buried in Abbeville was born abt 1719 and died 2 Oct 1786. Wife Eleanor SMITH dob unknown to me, died 5 Nov 1804.
Their son William who died 10 Mar 1871 had a wife named Jane with surname unknown. Their son William 1760 - 1804 it was who married Mary "Polly" Neely and was the father of the said J C LUSK the subject of this thread.
Not really probing anything with this post but just to let you know that I am following this thread.
Does it tie in with your material?
