We are having a Lusk reunion this month in KS where our particular line of the Tennessee Lusks settled in Osage County, Ks. I have a 2nd cousin (male) who does considerable research as well as myself who may be interested in the DNA research. I will ask him when I see him this month. We are from the Lusk line that dates back to the Augusta County, Va family that settled there in the 1740's. I am told Nathan Lusk was a son of a Joseph Lusk (but there may have been John before Joseph), and that Nathan and his brothers came down from PA, (I have heard both Lancaster and Chester Cnty) for the Land tracts that opened up during this timeframe (I have maps that show the consistency in the land tracts ownership). I am told we descended from John Lusk, son of Nathan Lusk. I have seen various conjecture that Nathan came with brothers possibly named John, James and Robert, not sure about William as he seemed to be located in a different land tract. They certainly all existed in the same area, and owned land in the same area so may well have all been brothers or kin anyway. I have seen the same name game of repetition within our line as well, John, James and Robert, as well as Samual.Anyway, I had also started back to the overseas jump with the name of Joseph and got stalled out as well. So I am ever checking in to see what others are learning with more recent research. I will direct any male Lusk in my family whom may be interested to you. Loretta
