Lusk DNA Project
My name is Gil Lusk and currently I am volunteering as co-administrator, along with Terry Barton, of the Lusk Family DNA project. Our hope is to have at least one male tested from each of the many Lusk lines so that we can begin to better understand Lusk ancestry in Ireland, Scotland and Scandinavia prior to that.
I have been working on my family history for many years and, like so many of you, have been stalled trying to make the links that pre-date our arrival in the Colonies. This process will hopefully help all of us with those links and give us clues as to research avenues we should and could be investigating.
This project is in it's early stages and we are already beginning to see possible linkages with the names of Lisk, Leask and possibly others.
The whole world of DNA Genealogy is a fascinating one. Please feel free to email me should you have questions or an interest in joining this project.DNA research is already yielding significant results for other families as it should for us if we can develop enough interest in this project.
Thanks very much.
Gil Lusk (line continuing with Joseph Lusk, born 1662, Belfast, Ireland)
