William Lusk/Garrard Co., Ky - 1800
Posted by: Liz Ussery Date: February 09, 2002 at 11:01:58
  of 2000

In researching my Menefee line, I am stuck on my GGG grandmother. All previous records I had seen showed Nancy Hulch, Hatch, etc. (obviously a problem reading the handwriting).. However, I have recently seen reference to a marriage bond dated 26 December 1797 in Lincoln Co., that lists her as Nancy Husk, daughter of William Husk... further research shows that the only William Husk in Kentucky was a substantial distance from Lincoln County and tends to make me believe that it is more probable that her name may be Nancy LUSK, daughter of William Lusk, who I find in the 1800 Garrard County census. There is also a William Jr. listed in Garrard County, as well as a John and Samuel. Does anyone know if William Sr. had a daughter named Nancy?

Any help sorting this out will be greatly appreciated.

Liz
