Just ran across an old query of yours on GenForum. My
wife's lines run back into the Franklin County, Ohio
area. Her GGgrandfather was Dr. John Randolph
Marshall, who went to school in Columbus and practiced in
Dublin, Franklin, Ohio. He married Louisa Mariah Lusk
29 Jul 1852, in Franklin County. Louisa is listed as age 17, born in Ohio, the daughter of Comfort Lusk in the 1850 Census of Sharon Twp., Worthington, Franklin, Ohio. No others are listed. Comfort is also listed in the 1840 Census of Worthington, Franklin, Ohio, with 3-daughters, 1
aged 5-10, and 2 aged 10-15.Louisa would fit the
5-10 category.I also found a Mary A. Lusk buried in
St. John's Episcopal Cemetery in Sharon Twp.,
Franklin, Ohio. A young daughter of John and Louisa is
also buried there, so I believe Mary A. Lusk to be a second
daughter of Comfort's. According to the cemetery
records Mary A. Lusk was born about 1826 and would fit
the 10-15 age category in the 1840 census.
I have recently found additional information,
unsubstantiated, that Comfort's husband is William
Lusk. The 1850 census has Louisa born in Ohio, so
William may be listed in the 1830 census of Ohio. I
will follow up on that possible lead.
Do you have any additional information that might be
helpful for me?
