Norman Kellogg Lusk 1860s? & son Wm. Franklin Lusk

Hi all you Lusks out there,
I am just starting a family tree and would appreciate any help. My father is William David Lusk b.1928 Los Angeles CA., his father was John David Lusk b.1907 Long Beach CA., and had 2 brothers Freeman and George. Their father was William Franklin Lusk a minister in Huntington Park CA., married to Alice Freeman, Wm. had a sister I believe named Laura. Wm. Franklin Lusk's father was Norman Kellogg Lusk. Norman was supposed to have had some kind of horse and buggy taxi service that carried Teddy Roosevelt. I don't know much more than that. The family stories are of military background in the civil war and revolutionary war, and that a relative fought at the Battle of Ticonderoga.
So, I think my next step is to find Norman's father. Help!
