The Virginia Lusby's
I'm trying to trace my Dad's like back and I'm stuck in 1850.Here's what I've been able to confirm so far.
My father is Alan Franklin Lusby. He has a brother and a sister - Gary Wesley & Carol Irene (Lusby) Miller).Gary lives down around Lusby, MD and Carol lives in Wisconsin. All 3 were born in Washington, DC
Their father was Clarence Wesley (he went by Wesley). He was born about 1914 in DC.He's the son of Benjamin Franklin Lusby, born around 1890 in Virginia, down around the Rhapahannock River. He was married to Edith I, and had the followign children - Wesley C (or Clarence Wesley), Marian I, Margaret E, and Edyth M.
Benjamin's father was Thomas W. Lusby and was born around 1833 in Virginia. He was married twice.First to Martha and they had the following children - Margaret (1858), John J (1859), and Louetta J (1865).
Then he was married to Francis J, and they had the following children - Charles L (1873), Lucy M (1873), Thomas K (1877), Frederick (1880), Harry C (1882), Willie (1885), Theodore (1887), Benjamin (1889), Walter (1891), and Asa Allen (1893).
The only other thing I could find on Thomas was the 1850 US Census. He was 15 yo, and was living with a James B. Moxley & his wife, Margarett B. Moxley and their son James Edwin Moxley (1) in Farnham Parish, Richmond, Virginia.Along with Thomas, there was also a girl - Levilicus Lusby (6) and she was a mulatto. When I looked at the actual census, it listed Thomas as a pauper.I don't know if the Moxley's were neighbors that took them in or if they are related some how.Other than this census, and I can't find any other information on any of them.
Can any of you help me?
