I have hit a brick wall in trying to find my GGrandfather's line. He was Charles Lusby born circa 1867 and in the 1891 Census he states he was born in Gt. Grimsby and in his 1892 Marriage Certificate he states his father had been George Lusby Sea Captain deceased. My family history is that he came from Grimsby but that he captained ships between England and America. Have you any connections with these names in the Linclonshire/Yorkshire area? Alternatively any connections with an Annie Lusby (see details below) who lived in 5 Hall St Hull in 1865?
However in my searching I have come across and been sent a lot of information on other sea-faring/martime LUSBYS which may be of interest:
