Benjamin Lupton 1700s Yorkshire, England
Posted by: Paul Lupton (ID *****5354) Date: January 24, 2009 at 16:48:41

My G4 grandfather married Betty Hardaker in 1773 in Guiseley, near Leeds, Yorkshire. While I have birth, death and parents of Betty, I have no records for Benjamin apart from his marriage. They had 11 children. From records of Land Tax and the residential locations of several of his children it is apparent that Benjamin resided in Yeadon/Yeaden which had a chapel of St Oswalds, Guiseley. Ther is also a strong connection with the Baptist Chapel in Rawdon/Rawden also near Guiseley and Yeadon.

I'd be grateful if any members of the Lupton Forum could shed some light on the birth/parentage of Benjamin Lupton.
