Hi. I'm not related to this family. Here is your ancestor's baptism from the Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967:
Jean-Baptiste Lupier, b. 7 May, baptized 8 May 1843 St-Hyacinthe (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire), Hyacinthe County, Quebec, son of Jean-Baptiste Lupier, farmer, and Marie Hermine Charpentier. -godparents- Jean-Baptiste Charpentier & Marie Goulet.
Sometimes a lower-case "s" was written like a "p", so to me the surname on the baptismal record looks more like Lussier, and when I look at the marriage for his parents, it's reads like this:
Jean-Baptiste Lusier (Jean-Baptiste Lusier & Euphrosine Fontaine)
m. 21 Feb 1843 St-Hyacinthe (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire)
Hermine Charpentier (Jean-Baptiste Charpentier & Maire Osite ?)
Here is a baptism for a sibling:
Charles Lucier, b. 4 Apr, bap 5 Apr 1847 St-Hyacinthe (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire), son of Jean-Baptiste Lucier & Hermine Charpentier -godparents- Charles Charpentier & Euphrosine Fontaine.
Here is this family in 1861:
1861 Census of Canada about Hermine Charpentier
Name: Hermine Charpentier
Birth Year: 1823
Birthplace: Lower Canada
Marital Status: Married
Home in 1861: St Hyacinthe, Canada East

Jean-Baptiste Lussier* 41 b. 1820 Que.; farmer

Jean-Baptiste Lussier 16 b. 1845 Que.
Hermine Lussier 3 b. 1858 Que.
Rose Charpentier 62 b. 1799 Que.
*Although the record may look like the surname is spelled "Lupier", I think it's actually spelled "Lussier".
Here is a baptism for little Hermine:
Hermine Lussier, b. 9 Aug, bap 10 Aug 1857 St-Hyacinthe (Cathédrale), daughter of Jean-Baptiste Lussier, farmer of Notre-Dame-de-St-Hyacinthe, & Marie Hermine Charpentier. -godparents- Amable Charpentier & Marie Euphrosine Goulet.
I could have the wrong family. But I thought I would post this FYI. Annie
