I am looking for information on Margaret Gunn who married a Lunney. In 1921 when her brother Hugh Gunn died in Missouri, USA his obituary stated that he had a sister Margaret Lunney, Derrylin, Ireland. Some of the family members had immigrated to the US from 1868 - 1882 and lived in Missouri and Illinois. She would probably have been born in the 1840's or 1850's. The brother Hugh's death certificate indicates his father was Thomas Gunn, I don't believe he immigrated it does not give his mother's name. Possible siblings are: Frances born abt. 1857: Sarah born about 1860: Ann born abt. 1854; Catherine born abt. 1851; Hugh born abt. 1843; a Sister (Elizabeth) Mary Josephine, Order of Dominican Sisters, Duneden, New Zealand. There may be others.
Hugh's obituary says he was born in the parish of Knockninney, County Fermanagh, Ireland. Any help would be appreciated. If it is more convenient you may e mail me direct at rlcruth@comcast.net
