Regarding the LÖF family name found in your Lundquist line.Do you have any information on where the LÖF family is from?My great-grandfather (known in US as Albert Lannis) was originally named LÖF prior to assuming his military name, LANITZ. Up until today I was looking for him as LÖV, but now have learned that in 1906 the V replaced F in the original spelling of the word.
Anyway, Albert was born in Örtomta, 21 March 1866.I do not know the names of his sisters and brothers, but one sister, Augusta (or something similar)LÖF COOK also settled in NY state. Their brothers assumed military names also -- one of which was LAGER.
