Karen Rasmusdatter Lunde was born at Lunde på Åmøy near Stavanger, Horway 17 October 1817 to Rasmus Rasmussen Lunde and Anna Asbjørnsdatter Nordhus. She had six siblings: Asbjørn, Osmund, Anders (Andreas), Marta Gurine, Rasmus, and Anne Malene. On 26 April 1849, Karen emigrated from Stavanger to America aboard "The Ebenezer" arriving at New York 18 June 1849. Her destination may have been LaSalle County, Illinois, since her brothers Rasmus and Andreas emigrated to the Streator, Illinois area in 1854 and 1855 respectively.
Needless to say, I am looking for information as to what happened to Karen after her arrival in 1849.
